David Salter (Chair) – Ward member for Shenstone Woodend.
I have lived in the Shenstone area since 1978 and have served as a Parish Councillor since 2003, holding the office of Chairman of Shenstone Parish Council from 2008 until 2010 then from 2014 to 2016 and I am privileged to hold the position again since being re-elected in 2018. I have represented Shenstone as District Councillor since being elected in 2011 was honoured to be elected Chairman of Lichfield District Council in 2016.
In 2019 I was appointed by its Town Council to be the official Town Crier for the small Welsh town of Llanfair Caereinion where several of my family live and we have a holiday home.
Having been raised in the family business of hardware and ironmongery, I am a keen and competent DIY’er although for the past 25 years my profession has been as an entertainer.
My hobbies and interests include; wildlife and nature (for many years I was licenced by the DOE to rehabilitate injured birds of prey).
